The Met Welcomes Summer with Fresh Wine List and Menu

Ahhh..... Summer in Beaver Creek, Colorado

The Metropolitan, Beaver Creek Resort’s newest restaurant, opens today for the 2012 summer season. The Met offers its summer menu with small plates, or tapas – one of few in the dining mecca of the Vail Valley. “The summer season means lighter fare, drinkable wines, and leisurely time with friends and family,” said The Met’s owner, John Shipp. “This is the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the longer days - good food, good wine, and a little R&R.”

The Enomatic

The Met’s Enomatic Wine System is one of only three of its kind in the state and augments the restaurant’s already extensive list of 80 international wines with an additional “Sweet Sixteen”. Says Manager Darryl Slate, “The wines will change often but will always have something for the wine novice to experts, as well as our signature beers and cocktails.”

The Tapas

Pair these with traditional Spanish tapas such as Shrimp Ceviche, Lobster Tacos or Denver Ribs, salads such as the Grilled Melon Salad or the Blue Crab Salad, and delicious home-made desserts, and patrons enjoy a sophisticated yet unintimidating dining experience for any appetite.

The Coffee and Breakfast

 Beaver Creek’s only non-hotel breakfast menu at the Met is served alongside the restaurant’s DazBog espresso bar at affordable prices not found elsewhere in the resort. Affordable breakfast plates include breakfast sandwiches served on Wolferman’s English Muffins, breakfast wraps, stone cut oatmeal, fresh baked muffins and more.

Relax....

Each Friday this summer from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., guests can enjoy wines by the glass coupled with the Charcuterie Platter in self-serve fashion through mid-September.
